Our lithium-ion batteries use the latest and most advanced built-in battery protection system and BMS (battery management system) to prevent damage to the battery. You may utilize a standard charger for our products, although in some cases a lithium charger may be required to charge the batteries.
Charging Sources:
Most factory 12V alternators on ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicles will sufficiently charge our lithium batteries and do not require any changes.
Most inverters have a battery-type switch that can either be selected to AGM for the closest setting to lithium or have a custom voltage setting that can be programmed to optimize your lithium battery.
You can set your inverter charger's voltage to charge bulk and absorb between 14.4V and 14.8V. The float should be set to 13.6V.
Our batteries' internal BMS allows you to use a standard battery charger, in some cases a standard charger may not fully charge our lithium battery and you may need to purchase a lithium charger to get the full usable capacity from it.
Our lithium battery technology will provide you with a minimum of 4000 complete charge and discharge cycles and still provide over 80% of usable capacity.
If you discharge 80% of the Lithium Battery and then recharge it every day for 6 years, you will still have 80% of usable battery power left. This is a huge increase in lifespan compared to a typical AGM or lead-acid battery rated at a maximum of 1500 cycles.

Using a battery charger with a specific Lithium charge algorithm is the best option for maximum performance and lifespan of any lithium battery. However, you can still use other charging sources abovementioned to sufficiently charge it.
Although toxic to plants, nickel is not harmful to humans. Lithium-ion is also benign — the battery contains little toxic material. Nevertheless, caution is required when working with a damaged battery. When handling a spilled battery, do not touch your mouth, nose, or eyes.
The short answer is “yes”. Thanks to high usable capacity, deep-cycle attributes, and longer cycle lifespan, the total capacity of lithium batteries you need is just 50~70% of the total capacity of your current lead-acid batteries. In a long run, your TCO (total cost of ownership) is much lower.
Lithium batteries have a larger operating temperature than lead-acid/AGM. They are somewhat affected by extreme heat (over 65℃) and cold (below -30℃). However, if it’s too cold, simply turn on some accessories and the battery will get warmer. If it is too hot, make sure air can flow freely around the battery.
Our battery can conmunicate with Growatt off grid inverters via 485 port. Inverters monitor the votage and SOC of batteries.
